Human Body - Digestion/Brain

We will look at the digestive system in our bodies this week. We will start by reading a book called What Happens to a Hamburger?  This story traces the events in your body from the first bite to the "finish line" of the digestive tract.  We play a fun game where the children become parts of the system and swallow a classmate and digest him through the tract.  The children will outline their bodies on butcher paper and then make a digestive system to take home today too.  The brain is the command center of the body. We will play a game where one child is the body and the other is the brain; the brain commands the body how to move.
For snack we will make small pretend hamburgers with round crackers and pepperoni and cheese.
